The Tapestry

Each person is

a living thread of life.

Actively at work

in God's tapestry of love.

Generations past

leaving their weaves' imprint.

And those to come

have their set apart to play.

Yes, this tapestry

it belongs to each of us.

Yet the past and

the future had an equal claim.

In the Master's hands

a canvas of gifts He had laid.

Each thread of life

can participate in its beauty.

Just one tapestry

how every thread of life connects.

Just one tapestry

One Hand that has a plan.

But living threads we are,

choosing to destroy or create-

the artwork of love

in this intricate tapestry of life.

Living threads we are

among countless threads of life.

Weaving is difficult

among the living threads.

Yet in essence

weaving in the web is living.

How well we weave

that is what loving is all about.
